I was going to bake brownies!! Yummy!! I almost succeeded in burning down my house instead! I kept smelling this burning, so I opened the oven and thought it may be the tin foil I had left in there...so I removed it. It still smelled though, so I happened to glance over at the stove and saw my brownie box on fire!! I had cut on the wrong burner for something else I was cooking!!
